Temat: Gdy ciało mówi za umysł: emocje ukryte w objawach somatycznych

About the lecture:

More and more is being said about the real impact emotions have on our health – both in the form of chronic pain and more serious diseases that do not appear without reason. In this lecture, we will attempt to understand how difficult experiences, prolonged stress, and unresolved traumas can imprint on the body, leading to various symptoms. We will explore psychosomatic and psychobiological concepts, which view disease as a signal stemming from deep emotional conflicts, and also examine contemporary trauma theory perspectives on the connection between the mind and body. Additionally, we will touch on the topic of epigenetics – the science that shows how emotions and experiences, even those passed down through generations, can affect our health at the cellular level. This is an invitation to view the body not only as a biological mechanism but as a carrier of history, emotions, and inner experiences.
